Went to install the Steeda shifter bracket with the trans mount bushing, and I forgot that lowering the shifter messes with the boot around the shifter to keep the sound out.

Went to take apart the center console to get my fat ass hands in there to fix it and some of the cheap ass tabs broke, lol. I can’t win for losing.

Looks like I have to add a console to my MGW shifter in a month 🙃

I went to pull the shifter trim cover off yesterday and pulled the chrome bezel off the plastic base that the shift boot is secured to. It appears the chrome plastic is only glues to the black base under do make sure to pull UNDER the chrome cover if trying to remove the boot. A little JB Weld and all was right in the world again.

Yeah I pulled up on the front of the shifter base a bit and worked the trim tool around and it easily came off. Tried the same thing with the console and it was a pain in the ass.
I couldn’t tell if the the plastic clips on the colored tabs are already broken, or the minor force of removing the console causes it.
