Changing the mufflers on my Flowmaster American Thunder axle back.

The system came on the car when I bought it. Chambered mufflers are definitely not my sound on a coyote. It is an axle back but instead of bolting to the double x pipe it’s been welded on. The Flowmaster tips I don’t mind. I do have active exhaust, but going through the modes it’s either wide open or quiet. Nothing in between. Eventually I will get long tube headers but for now I want to get new mufflers that would sound good now but also good with long tubes. Is there a good straight through design mufflers you can recommend or should I go with resonators in place? I also don’t want any drone. Car is not driven every day so it being loud as fuck won’t bother me.

With long tubes Corsa Sport and AWE Touring both sound great. 0 drone.

I assume you mean to just replace the whole axle back because I couldn’t find just mufflers anywhere online.

Got any good muffler shops around? My local guy is awesome…he’ll put the cans on for you and if you don’t like them he’ll swap them out at no add’l charge.

If youre doing headers, leave it alone for now. I bought my car cat deleted, x pipe borla attack, and it was retard level loud, with no refinement, just blat and rasp. It was so loud I couldn't hear the 2 shot front wheel bearings.

I'm still on deletes, but factory OE resonator, super 44's with 4" tips. It's DEEP/bassy but 6th at 70 its tire noise and wind. At 7k rpms everyone knows what's up.


Every 5.0 in town sounds like the same raspy blatting shitbox, like an LS with a louder cazoo.

I digress, wait until you do headers or you'll wished you had
