What jack and pad do you all use? Do you all do it yourself or take it to the shop? Any tips?

Thanks

What do you mean Jack and pad?

A standard jack works wonders that's all that's needed.

If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself there is no shame in seeking a professional shop doing it for you.

If you plan a getting a jack then pick up some jacking rails too, they're worth it and make getting the car in the air a piece of cake. I picked up this 3 ton low profile jack from Harbor Freight a few months ago and have used it often. The low profile makes it a cinch to get under the car and knock on wood, I've had no problems with it.

I'm angry at myself for adding extra weight to the vehicle but the jacking rails work great.
