I figured I'd give this topic its own thread since my other one got so lengthy.

I recently purchased a 2023 M1 manual. While setting up my driving preferences I noticed that I'm unable to change the steering while in sport mode. I've been told this is likely a magneride thing. But I've heard of other M1 owners being able to do it. I'm curious if anyone here is able to. I'm wondering if it's maybe a model year or transmission specific thing.

This 2021 owner seems to imply the drive modes are customizable.

My understanding, after scouring this forum when I first purchased mine, is that unless you use forscan (spelling could be wrong) tool to edit values assigned to the "display image" you cannot modify the steering/suspension/throttle response (that last one irks me, I LOVE the track mode throttle response but do not trust myself with the car yet) in either sport or track. IE: sport steering is displayed, however its value is the same as comfort.

Woe warranty nullifaction be upon ye

Yeah certainly not worth voiding the warranty over. Honestly all I really want to do is change the steering to normal while in sport mode, like you could on the non MR cars.

I'm still curious how the guy in the video was able to make changes...🤔
