I have the Premium GT with 401a + nav and I'm wondering if the HU dies or if I decide to change it out for something better performing will I lose my a/c functions?

Basically, am I married to the HU?

why would you want to? It does everything you need (Radio controls, Navigation, air conditioning, phone controls)

That's like removing the steering wheel, imo. Keep that shit in der.

if you want to do a sound system upgrade, just tap into the pre amp signals on the premium and send it to your DSP/amp. Did my system upgrade and its great, all controls and functions preserved but MASSIVELY better audio

I hear what you guys are saying but I plan on keeping this car for a lifetime.

I'm going to give it to my son in seven years supercharged and resprayed.

If and when it dies it looks like I'll need to replace with another Pentium One MyFord Sync.
