What do you mean trade it in after the lease?

Give it back and get something else. I misspoke.

For some people performance isn't everything. If I wanted a V8 sound Id just go out to my garage and start up my Foxbody. For me this way I was able to get awesome performance and have a decently loaded car. The GT was a premium but honestly didn't have much on it. If I optioned that GT to what the EcoBoost has the GT would be about $37k with X plan vs. $31k for the EcoBoost I now ordered. Is it a downgrade? For some sure, for me it's ideal. I'm not going to bend over backwards and throw myself into humongous debt for a car I know I can't afford. Id be happy with it, but I can't truly enjoy it knowing I signed half of my soul away for that car.

I've said this numerous times, but some people value comfort in a DD over horsepower, and I'm one of them. The whole "V8 or nothing" talk just sounds so ignorant and archaic--just like the "manual or nothing" crowd. I have an Auto GT and I'm sure some flame me for going auto. I don't care. I drive the car every day, not them.

I don't get what all these "heavily disappointed" comments are about the EB. For the price, an EB is a great buy if you're looking for a FUN sports coupe. FWIW, I almost bought an EB, but a big reason I didn't was that dealer wouldn't come up on trade-in. I don't race, and the car was fun to drive around town.

"You only live once" is a ridiculous argument to upgrade to a GT. Depending on circumstances, the GT could have a total cost of ownership hundreds more a month than the EB. If the EB fits in your budget and you're smart enough to stay within your budget, great for you. Stretching yourself too thin month to month is not a fun way to "only live once".

Bottom line? Congrats man, enjoy your new car! I do feel bad for you though... I went from choosing the car to buying it over the course of three days. Longest three days of my life. Good luck with the wait...

Every salesman I spoke with regarding the S550 said 'Go big or go home!'.
Of course they do, bigger commission for them. The EcoBoost has more HP than the GT did in 05&06. I am happy with my decision to get the EcoBoost , the GT optioned the same as I did with the EcoBoost is a difference of 5k and I don't need a V8. I bought it for myself and I am happy. I don't care what others say.

It is your money and your choice; And in my opinion not a bad choice at all. Forums are always filled with people who want to spend your money but you know what you are comfortable with. Do your thing, My Friend. :D

Ok Ok guys.. relax.. We all love mustangs, v8 , V6 and EB..

EB best of all worlds and deserves more love

V8: costs more, but worth it, if one has that big budget. (its RAW power on the growl).

v6: good ol american engine.

On this note. Love all mustangs and respect all mustangs and personal choices
