Hey guys,

Got a CEL on the way to work today. Only things I have on it are boomba short throw shifter, jlt intake, mbrp race catback. A little over 8k miles. Noticed it after I merged into highway traffic, and now it won't engine brake and the clutch engagement is too smooth, feels like the car lost power. Gonna go to autozone and check the code but anyone know what this could be?

Again would love to help you, but there are so many codes and things it could be brother. Def go figure out which one you have and then we can go from there. I don't think it's a transmission problem, more likely and overboost code or vacuum leak or hose, something along Those lines, but again it's a shot in the dark

There is a hard plastic line (the CCV line) that runs from the rear passenger side of the valve cover to the intake tube on your JLT intake. The connection point on the intake tube is the line that you had to connect adjacent to where the factory BPV hose runs (or cap sits if you are venting the BPV to the atmosphere).

Take the line off at both the intake tube and at the rear of the valve cover, then reconnect it beginning with the intake tube end first and then the valve cover point last. That line will sometimes pop off the intake tube if it doesn't connect good and cause the very problem you're experiencing.

I also have the JLT intake. Ask me how I know!

Sounds good Juben, that's the first thing I'm going to check. Ever since I put the intake in that thing seemed like it was going to come off.
