This is how the Mustang "Market Value" has now collapsed. Carsales today has 652 listed for sale. Ford Australia stuffed our resale market when they allowed dealers to purchase Mustangs for their own stock. Not like when Mustang were released and only available for order only. I just traded mine on a new VW Arteon so mine will be gone very soon.

Resale means jack if you never intend to sell.

The beauty of the Mustang is that each model is historically unique - even when "superceded" by newer models, your car will always have a special place in Mustang folklore and revered for decades to come.

A dealer told me recently they were going back to order only, to maintain a level of hype/desirability that flooding the market was reducing.

Who knows if true, but sounds good to me, the pendulum swung too far from the early days.
