I'm hoping the same holds true for us Brisbane deliveries.
I'm also hoping for 1st April delivery as it will put this whole experience into perspective... a joke!

I asked Ford Australia (via their Facebook page) whether my car would be offloaded in Melbourne, what would happen to it there, and how it would get to Perth. This is the reply I received:

Hi Ian, ships that were carrying the first batch of Mustangs had unloaded at multiple ports in Australia, but we don't expect that shipping schedule to continue in the foreseeable future. The Faust will be docking in Port Melbourne, where it will go through its Australian customs / quarantine check and a quality check by us before delivery to your selling dealer (by rail and/or truck, depending on which method is quicker).

Interesting. ...well apparentlyfrom another post it won't fit on the train to Perth. ....perhaps it will come by plane :doh:

anyone know where the faust has reached so far, it should be docking in panama on the 17th but marine traffic isn't updating the location for me :(

FrozenPea, did you subscribe to the satellite version just to monitor this voyage? I was thinking of doing so myself. Can I contribute to the cost (eg via paypal) in return for regular position updates when the Faust is away from land?

Hi mate, are you able to advise what plan you are on, ive had a look at the MT website, cheapest plan with Sat tracking is $389 a month. I must be missing something. :headbonk:

I've got the Faust in "My Fleet". If I then select "Sat" from the "Off/On/Sat" field it takes me to another screen where you can select Month or Year subscription, and the number of vessels you want to track. 1 vessel gives a figure of 14 euros.

Really? I missed that post. That's weird- that's what Ford Au told me so it must be true - NOT! ha haa. And my salesman said his car came by train from Melbourne (second shipment received into WA).

Where is the Faust at the moment had it arrived in Panama yet????
