This has probably been covered but I appreciate any help.I have a 2020 GT 350 with 1500 miles. It’s not a R .It has every option but a black roof.My question is the car makes lots of noises when I get in (which I think is the exhaust cycling),it also makes these noises when I shut it off( again I’m thinking the same reason). If I’m incorrect I would appreciate knowing that and know what it is.Now the thing it does that I don’t understand….. it does this cycling periodically with the key inside my house.I’ve heard it several times as I was doing things in the garage.Again thanks for any help.

Congratulations on your new GT350.
Perfectly normal on both points.
Before start up it’s the exhaust valves cycling. If you want a quieter start, foot on clutch for a few seconds and your valves will close producing a somewhat quieter cold start.
The cycling you here that seems like your car is possessed is said valves cycling so they won’t freeze up. At least that’s what I read here a while back.

Thanks for getting back .I was sure the cycling when I started it and later when I turned it off ,we’re the exhaust valves cycling.I just did not know that the car would cycle the valves at any time on its own with no key anywhere near it 😳This is my second GT350 the other was a 2015 and they didn’t do any of this !Thanks again.

I bought it new .It was # 43. I sold it a year and a half ago. It had 6000 miles on it of which a lot were track miles.

If this is EH then welcome back as it has been quite a while since we have heard from you and congratulations on your new 2020 GT350.

Based on my experience the 2020 GT350/R's recycle a great deal more than my previous cars with my 2015 cars not recylcling at all and in fact I don't recall my 2016 car recycling either.

Based on you having owned the first model year and now the last model year for the 6 year run of the 2nd generation GT350's what are your thoughts on your 2020 GT350 compared to your 2015 Track Pack car?

I had a 2012 LS #14 and it had a lot of suspension mods( no engine) and we had it pretty much as good as can be ( without being a dedicated race car) .it was really good and a lot of fun.The 2015 Track Pack made the LS seem old.BTW I really liked the LS and still do so don’t think I’m throwing rocks! my 2015 TP was driven often on track and was a lot of fun ,even with the PSS tires.I had a lot of fun with Z28& Z06’s.With the suspension changes the 2019-2020 GT350’s are really good.I drive for Ford and have driven several different cars on track and have seen changes that really made great cars even better.I have spent several hours in GT500 Handling Pack and CF as well as Mach1 HP and they are really well sorted cars.I think I’m more a GT350 guy though.Hope this made sense!!
