can't keep electric seats off

set auto off so heated seats don't come on. when I do auto start from the house. most of the time seats are cooking when I get out there. any tricks on a 19

You may have to manually set the seat heating to 'off'.

That's what I'm getting from looking at the 2018 OM (haven't downloaded the 2019 yet).

I do and some how in a day or two. I go out. and there on I must be doing something wrong.my next step in pulling the fuse I thing its number 14 in the box

There’s 2 settings; in the dash cluster you can opt to:

1) let the car control the seat on/off settings based on predetermined temps in the module. Upon a remote start, the seats will only come on if it’s x-cold out (heat) or x-warm outside (cool). If the temps aren’t exactly what’s been programmed into the module per the sensors, they won’t come on even if on an “auto” setting.

2) if last user setting was “on”, whether it’s max middle or min, when the car is remote started next time around, the seats will also come on at that last setting. So if you don’t want the seats to come on with a remote start action, make sure the seat settings are totally off.

Follow this path from main dash cluster:
Main menu >> Settings >> Vehicle >> Remote Start >> Climate Control >> (select Auto or Last setting) >> Seats >> (select auto or off).
