I noticed the Rube Goldberg battery terminals when I connected my battery tender leaves last year.

Was shocked at how poorly designed they were and then remembered this was a Ford....

Not sure why you think that, maybe you don't understand how they work.

Argh. Same problem here. Over the course of two months went from zero corrosion to a forest of very pretty blue green dust.

amazon has a new terminal lead for $17. I think it’s worth just getting a new one vs. trying to get the clamp to come up. (Well, I have just spent 5 hours. No joy).

Any corrosion on your battery posts/cable terminals means the post seal has failed, and electrolyte is seeping up the post.
