Can you tell if you lost a driveshaft balancing weight

Had a rotating noise a while ago. Heard it fly off and have felt a vibration every since. Driveshaft weight? This was few months ago, would I be able to tell easily if one was lost by looking at it? I'm not sure what to look for

You should see a small part of the driveshaft that is a different color and a mark where it was spot welded

Would it be of specific size? Also would it necessarily be close to the other one i have on there?

It's been a while since I looked at it, but I believe mine had a few weights of different sizes that were spot welded onto the driveshaft in relatively close proximity to each other like the above poster said.

The weights used should depend on each individual driveshaft's weight characteristics.

You're welcome. I don't remember of any weights near the transmission.

Nice pictures. That's what you call getting into a project. My car is clean like that. I've never had it out when it's wet.
