But driving in stop and go rush hour traffic on the 405 would be nerve shredding.
I did that in a 2015 (or 2016, not sure) rental Camaro going from LAX to Huntington Beach, and back a few days later. It was indeed a nightmare. The windows are so small, it is ridiculous. The car wasnt bad overall, but I could never put up with that view on a regular basis.

Yes... I haven't driven a 6th gen. Camaro, but I would surmise that for "regular" driving the visibility would be a non-issue.

I think that GM could have improved the visibility without taking away any aggressivenes of the styling. But they said they listened to current 5th gen. owners who said not to change it. Maybe they should have listened to the people who wanted to buy one, but changed their minds because of the visibility issue.
I drove two 2016 Camaro SS's this past week. The front visibility is much improved over the 2015 Camaro and is actually better than my 2013 Mustang GT.

I don't know what GM designer's were thinking with that oversized plastic gauge pod in front of the driver. Way taller than needed and does block some view.

As a previous 5th gen Camaro owner. I can tell you there is absolutely Zero improvement in visibility! From a visability stand point the car still sucks. There has been a lot of improvement to the car over the 5th gen. Visability isn't one of them. I actually liked my 5th gen. But couldn't stand the lousy sight lines or the dreadful play school plastic interior.

My wife had a 2012 Camaro SS that I probably put over 5K miles on it myself. Fun to drive but not something I'ld want for a DD. I've only driven 20 miles mixed city/hwy in the 2016 Camaro SS but the front visibility was noticeably better, sight lines are better, side visibility is ok but the back is still bad but not as bad as my Challenger SRT8.

Have you driven the 2016 Camaro yet? They still have some of the dreadful play school plastic interior and the seats aren't as form fitting as the gen6 Mustang.

they lowered the dash for 6th gen, but i bet the gauge cluster was still fixed so lowering the dash makes it really stick out

the seatbacks look much flatted than the stang, with barely any side bolstering. Check out that C pillar blind spot too

I drove a 16 1SS about two weeks ago. Only thing they had on the lot with a V8. I thought the seats were more comfortable than my 2011 2SS/RS. But I'm comparing cloth to leather. I thought the seats were stupid uncomfortable for a car that cost almost 47 grand in my old 11 SS. The interior was an improvement over the 5th gen but still cheap looking compared to the Mustang. Im 6'4 and find the ergonomics still lacking in the 16 Camaro. I have to recline the seat back to far to keep my head from banging the roof over minor bumps. Like I said I liked the Camaro but the 16 doesn't improve on any of the things I disliked about the 5th gen..
