California smog question

I have a 16 and was looking to get a jlt oil seperator...but heard that a catch can wont pass smog in California..is this true?

I would imagine it would all depend on the smog station. Some don't even care as long as it passes the sniff test and OBD2 readiness checks.

It takes 2 seconds to swap out for the stock hose. I would just do that And not worry about it.

The Ford one is pretty nice, and probably would fly under the radar like said above as well.

This^^^. Unless you get busted for longtubes and have to present your car to a state ref, you won't have to worry about it for a very long time.
