CAI Question

Hi guys im from palm springs ca. i just want to ask if CAI are legal here in Ca? Thanks guys!

CAI are legal if they have a CARB EO# (sticker) on your air intake system. Not sure if any available on the market have them at the moment.

I'm sure that one of the vendors will let us know when it does pass CARB. Hopefully it wont take forever.

the steeda one may be Carb legal...i'm not sure. Most of them arent, though. Figure you will just have to swap in your stocker when the time comes.

I'm just up the hill from you in Yucca! You wont have to smog it for 4 years so who cares? Just keep the factory airbox and swap it out then....

ohh thanks bud. Yea i know but does Cai voids warranty? so hard to do mods with very little tool options lol

Unless you mess something up related to the the airintake system you won't have warranty issues. I got lots of tools if you need to set things up, happy to help.

Nah, it's not the CAI that'll void warranty, it's the tune you'll upload with it that will. :doh:

Seriously, if a CAI doesn't need a tune, you aren't getting anything worthwhile out of it...

Just spoke with the service manager at my dealership today and he said they are expecting the CA CARB approved Roush CAI to be coming this month. :shrug:

Injen's CAI is for sale now, and is expected to get CARB approval finalized in the next couple months.
