CA smog with tune

I’m about to purchase a Whipple but I’m on the fence about which kit I should get. I was wondering if it’s possible to pass smog if the car has been tuned or would I have to run the canned Whipple tune. Any info is appreciated. TIA

As long as the tuner did a good job, car has Cats, and The wipple has a CARB sticker you should be fine.

What Steve said. Smog stations dont check for tunes but they do run a visual inspection to make sure there are no check engine lights, cats are in place and if there are any aftermarket parts, that they have an EO number.
