Went to Summit yesterday with a bunch of guys in my neighborhood. It was an interesting day out on the track and mix of cars in our group. 1 Bullitt, 3 Lotus, 3 Porsche. I was supposed to go to the Mustang gathering earlier, but have been busy and forgot about it until I got to the track. Interestingly, there was a RED Bullitt which is supposed to be a prototype 1 of 1.

There were about 30 other cars, several 6G & 7G Mustangs (and older Fox Body), a bunch of other cars ranging from an old G Body Cutlass track car to some Camaros and Subarus.

This was a 'get on track' event where you followed a pace car around the full track for 30 minute sessions, then 2 hours of a shorter autocross type out and back in line. Probably got 15-20 runs in. It was a blast, and the Bullitt did great. Rear Diff temps stayed well below max, engine temps were great, and had zero issues overall.

I tracked it a few times when I bought it back in 2020, but nothing as technical as Summit. I'll definitely be back, but need summer performance tires. The AS 3's were OK, but like driving on crayons. Probably the longest time I've been on a track in a while other than some classic 911 track days. I'm not a track junkie like many of you, just an old performance driver who used to auto cross and drives way too fast on twisty mountain roads, does the Dragon annually, etc etc. .

Red bullitt pics?
They were on their way out as I was driving in. THey stopped me as I was getting in line. He gave me his card, and wanted me to know the Bullitt Nationals are here in Virginia this year. Seemed legit, and noticed the Bullitt right away. Saw the car in the distance, looked to be the generation before the S550.

Yes, just grabbed the card from my car, and these are the guys. Excited the Bullitt Nationals are in VA this year. I just retired and I need to get active in more of these groups. Right now I am in the "Home improvement Catchup Club" My wife was very patient in that I was gone 90% of my time in the Middle East (the great sucker of life and good) the last 3 years, and lots needed to be attended to.
