I see some owners put plates in there engine bay showing Vin: number and build date and build number were do you find your build number?

The owners aren't putting those plaques on, they're from little botique shops that mod Mustangs and put plaques on them, like Shelby America.

If an owner put the plaque on, it would be "1 of 1".

I don't see a point in displaying the build number or date or anything. They MASS PRODUCED this car so build number is pretty much irrelevant.

For shops that mod Mustangs like Shelby, it's marketing, and a nice touch for the owner.

Here's the one from my black 2008 GT/CS convertible; there was another, similar, under the hood. At the time I got them, there was a man in Arizona who would make them to patterns he devised, with your numbers, or would do custom designs on request. I disremember his name. Found: "ccdjaco at cox dot net (he can do special requests)". I hope he's not offended by my divulging this possibly-expired email address. Let us know if you have any success with this or any other source.
