Hello friends,

I just learned that my source for ATE 200 brake fluid may not come through.
If that is the case, can someone recommend decent brake fluid - better yet, great brake fluid - that works for our car on the roadcourse and can be sourced easily? (e.g within 18 hours :))

I am going to check what I have left over from my other vehicles, I think I have some motul 600.. does that suit the 2016 Mustang GT?

I still havent tried calling the local auto supply shops for ATE 200, so this may be a false alarm. If not, would appreciate any helpful suggestion and thanks!

Looks like I have 2 bottles of motul 600 that have been sitting in a plastic bin for.. holy crap like ten years.

I probably should get fresh stuff. So Motul 600 is acceptable? Thank you!

Alot of local motorcycle shops carry motul 600 if you need new stuff fast.
You are so right!

Happens that I could get ATE 200 delivered same day (today) from Amazon. Pretty cool... went for it!

Castrol SRF. There's a reason it costs so much. Brake fluid absorbs moisture and it's boiling point lowers. SRF is the best at not being affected by this. It's gonna be your best option if you don't want to change after every event, every other month or even change more than once a year.

Much appreciated. I missed the boat for this time but will use it going forward.

Oh well, miscalculation. Brake fluid did not arrive in time, so still using factory.
I can still bleed them tomorrow or thursday.

Ford's own fluid is supposed to be pretty good stuff, 500° dry since 2006 according to a table that was posted elsewhere a while back, and I'd doubt they'd have backed off from that since.

SRF is 572 dry/518 wet, and like Jim has posted resists moisture gain the best, and is the least corrosive of the major fluids outside of Ford's LV DOT 4.

Ironically, the ATE 200 just arrived. Only 18 hours late!
