Boost a pump, when is it needed?

Thanks guys..... bought a VMP version. I was told it doesnt "fit" in the back seat area where the plug is. I think he said to place it under the rear passenger armrest type area? Not sure if I have that right.

does a BAP require a retune? Or will it just work as it is needed once installed?
