Any recommendations for a CAI and tune combo? What kind of gains should I see with this? This is my first time tuning and i would like to hear some experiences. I want something that i can load into the car that wont cause headaches.
You'll get LOTS of opinions with this question, so I'll just give my $0.02 on the subject. I've been really happy with my Steeda ProFlow CAI and 93 octane tune. I bought the Ultimate Induction Power Pack directly from Steeda. I didn't get baseline Dyno numbers before the installation though, so I can't tell you exactly how much HP gain there was. I can definitely feel the difference though. Most of it is probably from the tune. If you don't mind the look of the stock air box, then you'll probably be happy with just a better square air filter (like a K&N) and a tune.

I think he is talking about E85 not being there, only 91 gas.
We can get 85 out here, it's just not common at every local station. My closest one is about 10min from me. I was hesitant when I first got my stang (and this is why I ordered the airaid/bama combo) because people were blowing up their WRXs running e85, so I was worried. It seems like they weren't taking the right precautions, and also seems like these GTs run it a lot safer, and more easily

my 12 wrx ran awesome on e85, which is way safer than pump anyway, anyone blowing them up had a bad tune. in ny we get seasonal e85, so its at 70 or so now, usually goes up around memorial day, i never really seen anything higher than 77 anyway, i'll prob flash my Flex tune tomorrow, been waiting long enough..
