body panel alignment issues ??

hi european members. have any of you had major alignment issues? we are still awaiting our RHD in NZ but when you see 47 pages of issues on the american threads you start to worry. thanks

Went to visit one car last week, will look at at least 3 more tomorrow.

The one and only car I have seen had little to no body panel misalignment. But plenty of other misalignments.

- Very slight misalignment with the wheel arches and the bumpers, back and front.
- Chrome window trim not meeting up in places. 2-3 mm gap.
- Back glossy black panel sticking out on the left.
- Back window misalignment on the left.
- Door panels are very lose on the door frame. Move when closing the door or when gripping the door handle.

The first 3 issues I have seen in prolly 9/10 pictures I have seen of this car. I am just hoping its because its the first production run, but its a shame nonetheless.

But will know more if I have seen more cars. Although the cars ill be seeing prolly rolled off the assembly line the same day...

4 out of 5 have the rear window misaligned on the left (a bit lower)
most have the rear bumper gap thing on the left, but if you lift the bumper a bit the gap goes away, so might be an easy fix. Also, most have a small misalignment on the top of the trunk now.

Anyway, dealers make detailed logs of everything you notice and report those. When fixes or improvement are being made to new delivers these fixes will be implemented (if possible) on previous delivers.

Ive seen the same thing on built dates with 4 to 5 weeks difference. The factory will say it's all within their error margins. Of course in Europe we have total different error margins.

Saw 4 cars today, 2 without Custom pack and 2 with Custom pack.

All 4 cars had the same issues as the first car I had seen, but these 4 cars where in far better shape.

From pictures and stories I think its save too say that most if not all cars have misalignment issues but they vary from very noticeable to hardly noticeable. And most of it easily fixed anyway.

Did a color run tour

Ford Store - De Meern in Utrecht - White with Custom pack.
Ford Store - Zaandam - Ruby Red with Custom pack.
Ford Store - Almere - White without Custom pack and they had a Race red customer car with Custom pack.
Ford Store - Zwolle - White convertible and a Black without Custom pack.

They all got their cars last Thursday.
