bmr suspension bits

I was looking at purchasing the cb005 and the bk054 but then really thought about the fact that I'm not going to be drag racing or doing any hard launches, that often. Should I still get these or would these bits be a waste. I was thinking maybe I should just do viking and the bmr lowering springs now instead of those bushings. Just wondering why other guys have bought and installed them if they are in the same situation as me.

Without a doubt get the CB005 it is a great improvement. Although the install of the BK054 is a little tricky it is definitely a great mod and should be considered. The best part is its reversible if you don't like it and VERY affordable.

I bought the cb005 mainly for auto crossing. I haven't had a chance to install it yet though.

How much NVH is transmitted with the BK054?

BMR claims that NVH is nearly unchanged.

havent noticed any nvh in mine. the curve carving performance was improved noticeably with the cb005

I have installed the BK054 and CB005 on my manual GT PP and there IS an increase in NVH. There is a lot of drive train noise transferred into the cabin now. Don't get me wrong, I am NOT complaining. But it is not accurate to say there is no NVH now. To describe the sound is like saying the faster I go I can really hear the drive train spin up (drive shaft and diff) and it almost comes across as a faint whine that you would hear from a blower. Also, I do hear the inner workings of the diff now since installing the BK054. I installed the CB005 first and drove that by itself for a month or so and noticed little change in cabin noise. Yesterday installed the BK054 and that is when the added NVH really kicked in. I like the sound though and the stability it gives to the rear end in putting the power to the ground is crazy!!! The tires instantly stay planted to the ground and all wheel hop is gone. We shall see if it is also eliminated on the 1/4 mile track as well. I HIGHLY recommend the CB005 and BK054 together..... worse case scenario, if you don't like the added NVH then take it off and return it to stock and sell your parts to someone that will really enjoy them.

Good stuff here. I'm not worried about nvh at all in my case but I wonder how long the lifespan of the rear end would be with these installed without tracking the car.

I Installed the bk054 on my PP as well, got a question for you. Have you noticed any popping or clicking coming from your diff while turning after your install?

I have but think it is the sound of the pucks installed making contact with the metal hole it goes in. Haven't really worried about it.

I Installed the bk054 on my PP as well, got a question for you. Have you noticed any popping or clicking coming from your diff while turning after your install?

That is most likely the sound of the torsen if your car is a PP

Yeah I called bmr and talked to kelly today just trying to figure out how many more people, he said some pp cars get it and others don't
