Has anyone tried or known anyone who has used blowfish ravings transmission bracket??? I guess it fits under the car and is supposed to stiffen up the shifting? I don't know much about it, other than what I read. If someone could give some insight of this is a good mod or not?

Wrong section of the forum. You can search for it in Drivetrain/Transmission section.

Anyways, I have the blowfish racing transmission bracket. I've had it for about 10,000 miles and I like it A LOT. Probably the best mod I've done (although I haven't done many mods). I no longer have to force the shifter into 2nd and 3rd gear, that super-notchy resistance is mostly eliminated. I believe this mod is truly saving the syncros in my transmission.

Before adding the bracket, if I wanted to downshift to 1st gear from 2nd gear at 10 mph, I'd have to throw the revs up to a ridiculous RPM (like 4000) in order to prevent lockout and go into 1st. Now I can downshift to first with much greater ease using an appropriate amount of RPM, like 2500.

The downsides is NVH, the bracket hard-mounts the shifter box to the transmission. You get great feeling, positive shifts at the cost of NVH. At full acceleration, you can see the shifter rocking counter clockwise. The shifter vibrates at all times- although it is not noisy. If you hold your hand on the shifter for a few minutes, it would feel slightly bone-rattling.

I bought my Blowfish used so it was a good value for me. If I were buying new, I'd consider saving up for the MGW instead simply because the MGW has shorter throws.
