Love it...! This is a really well thought out photo.... It has many stories that can be applied and for me its like the mean beast waiting to strike like a black widow spider......

Thanks Allan! I have a few more from this outing and will post them up. If all goes well tomorrow. I will be doing a shoot at the local county fairgrounds. Hopefully, I can get permission to drive onto their outdoor horse arena.Love it...! This is a really well thought out photo.... Would love to see more of this shoot
That would be very cool if you get onto the horse arena! I love what you have done to your car and these photos really play up to the dark horse theme! Thanks Allan! The best color of them all in my opinion!!!Allan - Congrats on the car. The waiting is the worst part but you will be so happy when you finally get it. I get ours in about 6 weeks. Its sitting on the dock at Baltimore waiting to load onto the carrier ship Tysla. Its Black like yours and once the custom shop finishes the body mods I will be doing photo shoots like you! I will share them on this thread when the time comes.
Meanwhile I enjoy looking at yours and others dressed in all blackThe best color of them all in my opinion!!!

I still have to edit more of the barn pics but thought you would like these in the meantime. These are a couple of one's we took at the fairgrounds. I was able to convince them to let us onto the outdoor arena. I will post up more from this outing as well as others we took that day once I edit them.
Les these photos are amazing! I have been a photographer for too many years now and I really appreciate your photos, they tell stories in silence and the car is always the true hero!
You have inspired me to look for these types of shooting locations for when my Black Beauty arrives!
Thank you so much for sharing  I wait with anticipation for your next posting!
PS. Do you have a flickr account with your car photos? If so, could you send me the link?
Cheers
Allan
I fully agree Allan, they do tell a dramatic story. Can't wait to start snapping my car and join the fun! Maybe not with the same level of expertise unfortunately.Les these photos are amazing! Chris you don't have to be an experienced photographer as much these days when it comes to the actual camera capabilities as most cameras are armed with advanced auto functions. You will have a ball with yours as you have great backdrop locations around your area.I fully agree Allan, they do tell a dramatic story. Can't wait to start snapping my car and join the fun! Just a few tips for what its worth;
Shoot early morning or late afternoon unless overcoast.
Avoid shooting into the sun unless its intended otherwise.
Meter on the highlights if using the cameras auto mode (set camera to centre point focus and focus on a Bright area rather than the shadowed areas) to avoid exposure blow outs (you can bring shadows up in edit).
Shoot from down low (on your knees) or from up high above your head while standing further back.
Capture the sorrounds but frame the whole scene to tell a story.
Study the whole picture through the viewfinder or screen before shooting.
Shoot every photo like it just cost you $100 and not like you know you can just delete if it looks crap.
Mate you can really get amazing results with just about any camera if you apply some general basic principles. Its fun, adictive and look at what Les is capturing...mind blowing images.....but yes experience is a huge benefit and no doubt Les is experienced, but experience is not the limiting factor to having fun and exploring the relms of creativity!
I look forward to our exchanging of images when our beauties land home soon.![]()
