I've painted a few pieces of mine

glass black.
How has that held up? Been weary of those just due to all the touch and pull etc.

I'm waiting to see if dark horse comes with black from factory and trying to transfer over. Some pics show it black some don't.

No problems at all, it's sprayed with exterior clear coat, it's extremely durable.

This is a great idea. I have a 2023 on the way, and I have been pondering ways to make the interior trim less silver and more black.

I did the following:

used a spray dye to black out the shift bezel and I'm installing

speaker ring covers/cup holder trim this weekend. I'm weary of the handles cause of so much touching but we'll see how these hold up. Will have pics of other stuff this weekend. I bought the cheapest fakest carbon fiber ones on Amazon.

Looking good. Wifey is requesting to de-chrome the interior as well. Thinking of wrapping but painting looks more natural. This will be the next mod after the brake maintenance and mounting of the new tires from 4Wheelonline this weekend.

Thanks! It's holding up well. I'm currently researching to see if the grab handles and door pulls from the dark horse will transfer over. They are factory black.

Hey! I used Rustoleum high heat ceramic coatings. First light sanded, high heat primer, high heat flat black, then finished off with high heat ceramic clear. Couple coats each one. This combo leaves it a satin black as shown. The center counsel I removed taped off and sprayed the mode switches with night shades as I wanted the symbols to still show through. Everything was essentially removed example: door panel trim then inner door latch etc it’s a PITA but no way I was running with that chrome shit also I purchased some decent carbon fiber overlays light sanded etc same process and painted those as their fitament was solid .. example steering wheel areas .. I even took off the pedals and found some Drake aluminum pedals powder coated black..

The black pony on the steering wheel was the actual horse from our steering wheels which was for sale on eBay from a steering wheel bag that activated. I removed the horse which is actually a plastic/rubber sanded the chrome off and painted then pasted right on top of the original the circle around it was an overlay that stuck out so now they are dead even across the top .. I originally used the decals but never got them to line up well.. overall it took me a year to murder the car COMPLETeLy even engine bay ..,lol allot of trial and error too ..I think my car is more Murdered than any mustang I have ever seen ..
