Does anyone have any suggestions for buying (or hydro-dipping) a new chin spoiler and side splitters in gloss black?

I was just about to post this very question. I was interested in dipping/painting/wrapping options

Due to the texture, they don't wrap well. I've seen them painted though, and it looks good. Just expect chips and scratches if it's going on your daily driver.

Me and my buddy Air Wrapped my skirts and splitter gloss black and it turned out pretty good. Problem with the side skirts is your legs rub against them when getting in and out of the car no matter how hard you try not to so it starts peeling. Sanding/painting will be next on my list to try before dropping some coin on carbon replacements.

I have, and have provided numerous gloss black exterior plastics. As I've got a spare set of them. (However I am in the UK)

Treat them as you would any other plastic part, clean, sand, scuff, prime, sand, prime, repeat until flat, scuff, add black, then lacquer.

Dipping requires all that initial prep regardless as surface has to be smooth, and wrapping over an object like that will end up with bubbles etc, so best to prime it if planning to wrap them something obscure.

Mine are personally painted, and then wrapped in a PPF. after the first one some twit with a shopping cart scuffed it so needed it redone and added the protection that time.

As for install and removal, fairly easy, nothing too arduous. Gt grilles a bit more of a faff than installing the smaller splitter, the rear diffuser can be a faff just use your hand and push the clip in whilst pulling, I find it easier to reattached the coloured diffuser element at this point.

I was told by a local vinyl wrap company that the matte plastic pieces like the chin spoiler and side skirts would not accept wrap well.

One solution is to plasti-dip them in black then wrap them in gloss.

If you just plasti-dip in matte black then use a dip glossifier they will not match the gloss of the car.
