If you are absolutely in love with the 2015 Ford Mustang GT, but you aren’t at a point in your life where you can afford to drop $30k on a new muscle car, the folks at Stanley Black & Decker could make your dream of owning a new Mustang come true – simply by liking their Facebook page and filling out a basic information form. - http://www.stanleyracing.com/2015-ford-mustang-giveaway

In cooperation with Ford Motor Company, Stanley Racing is giving away a 2015 Ford Mustang GT and entering the sweepstakes is 100% free. All you have to do is visit the Stanley Racing website where you will be prompted for details like your name, your birthday, your address and other information vital to giving someone a free car. Once you have filled out that very simple form, you are then “required” to like the Stanley Racing Facebook page…and after that, you are officially entered to win a 2015 Ford Mustang GT.

In addition to winning a 2015 Ford Mustang GT, the winner of this sweepstakes will also win a VIP package to the 2014 Ford Championship Weekend November 14-16, where you and a guest will see the all of the NASCAR action first hand as the drivers battle for the 2014 Sprint Cup championship.

Psh, I'll sign up! I know someone that won a brand new Chevy Impala quite a few years ago and it was awesome. Especially after watch the 4 videos of Ford giving away peoples' "dream Mustangs" today -- it'd be awesome for anyone!

I'd love to win one for my father!?

You can google 2015 Mustang give away. there's only two, so it should be pretty easy to find.

I just read through the rules. It's a little more complicated than that. Don't get me wrong, hard to argue with free anything haha. But it's not as simple as it sounds. Looks like Stanley is holding 5 separate contests, only one of which is open to the public. Each first prize winner from the 5 contests will receive the vip trip to the NASCAR race where each will be given a key. Only one of which will start the car. Then, Ford has 90 days from Nov. 16 to deliver it (not including delays related to manufacturing process delay or material availability). So, best case scenario, sounds like you take delivery in mid February. Then, ANY option you wish your car to include besides base GT standard equipment, you will be financially responsible for.

I think it's awesome that people still give cars away and the publicity and attention it brings to the car is wonderful. But why can't we just have a simple "congrats, you win, enjoy" contest where you drive off into the sunset? They make EVERYTHING so complicated for the sake of complexity. Also, considering the other contests are for their regional dealers, its hard to imagine them not winning. You have random Joe who liked a Facebook page there beside a guy who sold a million bucks of your product last year. I am probably wrong but I would think it's predetermined who gets the magic key.

Still an awesome opportunity, don't get me wrong. Just don't understand why everything has to be re-defined in code in the fine print below. Just say "this is what you could win and this is when you will get it".

But what if you don't "like" facebook? Dropped them like a hot stone over a year ago.

Actually as far as I know, Facebook doesn't allow you to place a condition of entry into a promotion by requiring a posting such a like on a wall of a page. Seems the requirement to post a like (which would require a subscription to Facebook also) may be in violation of not only Facebook terms but possibly other legal contest rules. These requirements may have changed though as it was a long time ago when I checked into it. I'm sure Stanley pays Facebook enough to skirt that requirement if it still exists.

No free Mustang for me.

-edit- Damn OCD is getting me today....

Looking at the rules this appears more like a lottery than a sweepstakes. A sweepstakes is truly 100% free with a winner picked at random. A lottery is usually an entry based on some form of consideration. Usually buying a ticket. But placing a requirement to go to a third party (Facebook) and post a like is a form of consideration. Since Stanley doesn't provide a means for a truly free or alternate (non Facebook requirement) entry then I would think this definately falls under rules of a Lottery. They may want to update their entrance requirements.
