So I had the Roush AB and added the x pipe. The installer said he had to bend the pipe a bit more than an inch to make it fit. He only told me this after installed was done and he lowered the car. Having never heard this setup before I couldn't tell if that made any difference. After having my car recorded did i notice that it doesn't sound has high pitched as I hear other clips on you youtube. It also sounds a bit harsher. Could just be different in recording phones.

Does additional bend on the x pipe changes the sound? Inputs greatly appreciated.

The difference is because no recording will give you an accurate recreation of the actual sound. Especially if the recordings are made with a cell phone. Without professional recording equipment in a recording studio, it will never sound true to life. Even then, it would depend on the setup recording the audio and the competency of the engineer setting up that equipment.

Absolutely agree clips do not reflect actual sound. However that is all I have to based on at this moment. Most clips on youtbe are consistent with each other on youtube, only mine is not as high pitched and harsh, making me paranoid.

Question is ... do you like the way it sounds or not? Different X-pipes may make it sound different too, even with the same mufflers.

Yes. I like the way it sounds, but don't love it. I was looking forward to the higher pitched exhaust note suggested by all the youtube clips and mine didnt turn out the same, slightly dissappointed. I still want a higher cleaner exhaust note but it doesn't look like there is much I can do.

Like I said, no video clip will give an accurate representation of the actual sound. You can use videos for comparative purposes, to an extent, but beyond that, you'll never get an accurate recreation of the sound of the exhaust on a video, especially one recorded with a cell phone or other substandard audio recording equipment. With the vast majority of videos being recorded on a cell phone, the audio won't be anywhere close to accurate.
