I don't post much here, but I wanted to share some before and after pics of hail damage repair of my 16 GT. March 14, 2025, we had some baseball sized hail, tornadoes nearby... Life in Missouri. Unfortunately I hadn't been able to get a carport for the 16 GT we bought in April of 24, so it paid a heavy price... Miraculously, no glass was broken! Most of the repairs were PDR repairs, I had to get a deck lid, but I work at the number one salvage yard in the US, so I was able to get that easily and very inexpensively! The insurance adjuster had it in his mind that I was going to allow my hood to be half way filled with bondo. After some argument, and him being reminded of who's car it was, he relented, so I was able to upgrade to a nice Cervinis fiberglass Ram Air hood. I have some future plans for the mustang, and it includes a bigger intake (suggestions on that are welcomed, as I'm researching). I also had the ugly flat vinyl stripes removed. I want to have stripes painted on, however, that's $8k I just don't have to drop on that right now, maybe one day, however, I really like the clean look of no stripes. Now the Ram Air hood gives it a nice aggressive look, it's incredible! I'll attach 3 photos, one is of one of the hail stones we got that night, the other is the day we purchased it (April 6th, 2024), the third was taken yesterday, April 18th, 2025, the day after we got it back from the body shop... Would love to have some thoughts on it!

Yep, hail sucks ! Living here in southern OK I've lost two cars to massive hail damage and had 2 repaired. You got to get your keeper cars under cover in "hail country". A trick I've since learned to use in case I'm caught away from home and my garage(s), is to use a piece of old carpet that is cut to fit on top of the car (fuzzy side down) and that drapes over front/back/sides, throw an appropriately heavy something on the top front and back to hold it down...and that protects against hail damage without costing a lot. In your case you came out ahead as the current pic of the car with the new hood looks awesome !
