I didn't mention it earlier because I didn't want to bring up another brand in the ops BC post, but since Signature wheels and service has been brought up I would like add something.

I do love my BC KL17 wheels but the wheels I have on the car right now are Signature SV504's. The op gave a shout out to the place of business where he got his wheels so I would think the service there was likely a deciding factor for him. When I bought my BC wheels I had lots of questions about fitment and how to achieve the best overall look on the car. BC Forged answered all my questions and provided excellent service overall, they treated me like they would any customer - and that's great.

I went to the Signature wheels shop because I saw they just happened to be in Sacramento CA which is only around 25 miles away from me. When I went there I met Terrance and asked him if I could just take a look around at the wheels even though they work by appt only in the shop and he was leaving when I got there. He was more than happy to let me look around and even took the time to show me his cars and explain how the wheels are made, what the different finishes would look like against the paint on my car and what fitment would look best on it.

When I went there I really didn't have any real intention of buying a set of wheels because I had just bought the BC wheels, but Terrance didn't treat me like a customer - he treated me like a friend. That was a huge deciding factor for me, friends like to work with friends. I ended up buying 2 sets of wheels from Terrance and will pick up the 3rd set soon.

You can't go wrong with either company but I know when my OCD gets the better of me and I have questions at 2am I can text Terrance and he'll get right back to me - not just car related too, he is a wealth of knowledge! I have asked many of you on here questions over the last few months and you have all been fantastic and helpful for which I am grateful ( @Epiphany literally walked me through the entire CFTP springs conversion ) and to get that same level of help from a business is priceless.

but it may mean that you don’t care about your family
I dont think you did a bad thing Jamie. You sent your car to Shelby and now have a CSM. As a by product you now have BC wheels which you like and understandably for very good reason. I think the Shelby folks aren't idiots. They know that BC makes a superior wheel and that they are the manufacturers of the signature wheels. Not only that, but they put the Shelby brand on the wheel to finish off the car nicely.

On another note and not pertaining to you Jamie, is that it was brought to light in this thread that BC manufactures signature wheels. I thought that was good news for everyone in that both brands are now tied together with that stigma of quality. Point being made is if you are looking for a quality wheel and some number, depending on the deal you get, (about $1,000) is the difference between one brand vs the other, well now you have a choice, a choice without having to make a compromise. People chimed in about customer service. That's great. Both seem to provide that. I'm not going to rehash my customer service viewpoint because it doesn't belong in this thread. I guess neither side of any customer service viewpoint for signature wheels should be. This is a thread about BC wheels. One person made a generic comment pertaining to customer service and the next thing you know people are chiming in on their signature customer experience. That's great, why not run over to the signature thread and post that there, it doesn't belong here.

I really think this is excellent news. I like the fact that people have the power of choice without having to compromise on quality. The fact that BC manufactures signature wheels validates any quality concerns and leaves money in your pocket for other things in life whatever that may be.

Let me share my view which is a perspective not common to North American consumers.

I live and work in Hong Kong (which is a stone's throw away from Taiwan and pretty much is the selling hub for BC Forged Wheels in Asia). I am a Chinese-Filipino though and so my friends and family are back in the Philippines. My 2015 GT and 2022 GT500 are both in the Philippines and I use them for time attack as well as club grid races.

BC Forged has a HUGE R&D and engineering department and they are very conservative in producing custom wheels if the client wants specs (concavity and offsets vis-a-vis hub thickness and spoke shape and thickness) that BC team regards as structurally weak. When I ordered my GT500 track wheels from their Hong Kong office, I provided specs for 2 wheel designs that BC rejected after a week. I ended up having the specs done on a 3rd design (RZ02 which is only available for markets outside of America). I have spoken to their people and they really know their stuff and do the right thing without compromise.

Here's my 20x11.5 squared et18 front, et45 rear in brushed gray. With anti-slip bead knurling. 22 lbs each. I've used and abused them on track and over potholes in our shitty streets of Manila with great results and the price over here is 3500 USD a set. Great value IMO.

By the way, BC stands for Bor-Chuan. It's headquartered in Taiwan. All R&D and manufacturing is done in-house over there. Home-grown Taiwanese enterprise.

Also note that Taiwan is NOT China. Taiwan has more links to the US actually than China.

I agree! 3500 would be a smoking deal! Don't believe you could get a 11.5 squared set for that in US except maybe black Friday if you get lucky!
