Hi everyone. I got my bbk long tubes installed but see a issue with the bbk mid pipe adaptor I got. One is looking up an a 45(ish) deg andle but the other is looking down. I feel like the o2 sensor would be prone to getting dinged hanging down like that. I emailed bbk but it’s Sunday and I’d like to keep moving forward so I’m thinking of plugging the bung looking down and just welding a new one in looking up. Thoughts?

Fixed it. I just plugged the incorrectly oriented bung that shipped with the kit from BBK with a plug I bought off Amazon and welded in a new bung (also bought of Amazon. 10$ for the plug and the bung) facing the correct direction.
Everything ended up fitting ok. I had to trim about an inch off the 3” male end of the 90 that came off the cat to get everything to fit neatly. Everything ended up fitting well in the end headers to mufflers in the end. I do not like the bolting system on the cat. There is a weld that connects the ball and spigot flange to the cat that should really be ground smooth from the factory so it doesn't interfere with the nut that goes on the stud. Also, i had to buy 2 2-1/4” butt joint couplings to join the x pipe to the mid pipe because the kit didn’t come with new ones and my factory ones were shot so that was 60$.
