I've become very interested in the idea of a quick-detach steering wheel set-up, but I don't want to lose functionality in the car. Ideally I need the menu traversal buttons to be able to change exhaust modes, check temps and metrics, fidget with the track apps and excuse messages. I can go without EVERYTHING else
I found this controls relocation kit on Battle Aero's website, and I am REALLY considering purchasing this kit so that I don't have to worry about losing my menu controls.
Only last worry is the idea of cutting the relocation mount to lose some of the bulk, removing all control surfaces besides the menu arrows (the bits on the left there, although mine are on the right) and OK button in the process.
Do any of you think this would be possible, or would the car/electronics have a hissy fit from missing inputs?
