Have got the above message showing at random times when driving on the centre console - there is a progress bar showing underneath it.

At the same time, the whole of the dash goes off too, so the speedo stops working, rev counter stops, and all the trip computer stops even logging the miles.

Anyone seen this before on the Mustang - trawled through the web but can only really find a similar thing happening on the F150's over in the US.

That sounds like a serious software glitch, and potentially dangerous as you don't know what else it's going to throw out next!

Back to Ford I think!

Might be worth checking the charging voltage to the battery, looks like it could be dropping off at times, causing the system going into a safe mode.

It's going into Ford on Monday morning so will report back when they find out what it is.

I have seen the "Battery Saver" when sitting in the car with ignition on and engine off. Everything turns off.

I think my hardwired Thinkware F750 dashcam causes the battery to be discharged to a certain extent.

Also the amount of time that the centre console auxiliary power outlets stay on after switching off the ignition is very variable.

i have gotten it a few times if the car is parked up, and the engine is off and i am mucking about with the Sync3 it will say "battery saving" and have a bar at the bottom. I just start her up and its all fine again. Think it's a good idea when the engine is off as on the old one you could kill the battery working on the car with the radio on and the engine off
But don't think it should happen if the engine is on and could be dangerous if you are driving

interesting as i to have the hard wired F750
also have noticed that the Cyclon light will only run for a short while in parked security mode, and the Dashcam has said when in pissing about with radio that its going into "battery saving mode"

Get this one mine as well, only seems to happen once in a while and its usually when i'm sitting in the car when picking the kids up from school. Park up, engine off then thats when it sometimes does it. Weirdly though i've caught it doing it when i've picked them up and come back to the car, jumped in and its on the screen again. Surely if the engine is off and the car locked it should be just off completely. I have a Hardwired F750 too, just recently changed its power off options so i wonder if i've set it too aggressive.

If it's going into 'Battery Saver' mode while driving, you would expect that to mean that the charge to the battery from the alternator is non-existent.

I would think that's dangerous as it could be potentially turning off vital safety systems also.
