Yeah, the forecast doesn't look great but for those getting there early (me!) a majority of the parking in under the roof. Not sure of the timing of the rains either. As long as it isn't as bad as the 2019 event! (The tornado show!)

Yeah, it looks like the bad stuff will be in the morning. Hopefully no Tornado's which I can't say the same for tomorrow. lol

If it's raining bad, I'll be in my Ram. Too many roads flood around here now.

I'll in the Boss today. The Mach is a better all season driver, but I only got the Boss back from the body shop yesterday after needing an incident repair as well as replacing the horribly corroded hood. Not cheap, but needed to be done. I'll have it at the show this weekend.

Just wondering how yesterday's event went. I had to commit to going to New Orleans, but the po boy was good...

Had a good, not great, turn out. I think the final count was 38 cars. A pair of new GT500s, a new GT350 pair of late model Boss 302s (including mine), a pair of SN 197 Mach 1s as well as a handful of first gen cars, including a '69 R code Cobra Jet 4 speed GT sportsroof.

I'll try to make the next one at Hollingsworth. My wife and I were talking about hitting the NHRA races in Houston, which I think is the same weekend. It's been a few years since we've been.

Would love to see you there, but this being the last year of the Houston NHRA event, I can see really wanting to make that one.

Yeah, it's sad to see it leave Houston. I used to take the family when my sons were in their preteen and teen years. To see those 10,000+ hp top fuel cars in person is an experience everyone must have. Also, meeting the drivers and crew members was cool. We haven't been the last 10 years or so. However, I'll be taking my grandson to State Capitol on some Friday evenings this summer and watch, maybe run my car once or twice... lol.

I didn't go to the final nhra races in Houston, but I dropped by Hollingsworth for a bit. Chatted with a few owners and passed a good time.

Glad you were able to get by. Final count was 85 cars, not a record but pretty good for us. Got a class trophy for my Boss 302, one of two there. Surpising amount of new GT500s there, including an impressive Antimatter/black stripe car.

Ok, I was looking at your car and the other Boss. Do you know what happened to the red Boss 302 that was at the All-Star Ford in DS? Last I saw it was in their back lot. Later, I thought I saw it in one of those car lots on east Fla. Blvd.

Don't have any information on it. Seeing a Boss on the streets in these parts is becoming a rarity.
