Curious as to why these two windows stickers have a different "Base Price" listed? Both have the EXACT same options. I tried to configure this setup on the ford build & price but you can't even get the base price to change since it is set to $36,395 for a premium mustang coupe. Anyone know why this would appear differently? Typo/error?

Maybe because one was a "special order"?

Blend date on the $36,300.00 car is 8/13. Blend date on the $36,395.00 car is 9/15. If "Build and Price" says $36,395.00... it looks like a price increase.

Hot off the wire... it IS a price increase. Base GT is now $32,395.00 on "Build and Price". My window sticker shows the base price of my base GT @ $32,300.00. Blend date was 9/8, but mine was a retail build, so the price was locked in at the time of ordering. Only $95.00, but @ ~10,000 Mustangs being produced per month, it's more than chump change... $950,000.00 a month! Maybe it's needed for the UAW? :D

That is all...

Quick way for Ford to definitely increase their cash flow! Just checked back, and all my options match up with the prices on the site, so it looks like they only raised the base prices... for now. ;)

Just tried Edmunds.com to see what they show as MSRP. Both GTs show the $95.00 increase in MSRP.

That is all...

It's an increase in destination and delivery charges.

Good detective skills on that. Yeah, almost an extra $1 million for Ford every month just by that slight increase; and no doubt they probably did the same thing across their lineup, or at least with some other models too.

It's an increase in the base price. Destination and delivery went to $900.00 from $825.00 (2015 models) as soon as the order banks opened in June. I ordered in June, and the first thing I noticed was that destination and delivery went to $900.00. Base price and my options were the same MSRP as the 2015 models.

Quick was to increase cash flow by almost a million dollars a month, no?

That is all...

You guys might want to consider the fact that the third parties Ford uses to ship may have in fact increased their rates. Or after a year Ford realized they didn't average the price properly so they corrected it. I doubt its a raw price increase just for more profit, the car is already quite profitable for them.

Point is, I wouldn't be so fast to just say Ford is making a money play.

Part of it may be that they can get away with it. New Camaros went up in price from 2015 models, which they consider direct competition. But hey, we're not a "democratic society", we're a "capitalistic society". I think they're just seein' what the market will bear.

But... I got mine and don't care!!!! And if you ordered "retail"... you won't either tomorrow!!!! Good luck with that "paperwork". And get some sleep, Bud... if you can!

But is that in REAL US Dollars or "funny money" dollars, eh? Got the heebie-jeebies tonight? Waitin' on that car. Just pull the trigger and order the wheels... you'll feel SO much better. Besides, you have room in the garage. And don't forget tires... but maybe save those to order tomorrow night. ;)

Yes, only $900.00 and 22 days to get mine from Area 51. Hardly seems like enough of either - NOT!!!

That is all...
