Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2016 (photo heavy)

The wife and I cruised up on Sunday 1/24 to check out this years Barrett-Jackson event. It was our first time there, although we watch every year on Discovery and Velocity. I was amazed at how many Mustangs there are this year. It's gonna be worth watching on tv if you're into these things.
I'm gonna break the photos into separate posts.

We headed to the auction floor, but on Sunday they were only auctioning Automobilia.
Once we headed out back the really cool stuff emerged!

We found one tent that was almost nothing but MUSTANGS! It was amazing.

I think this was my favorite car there. I think it's a 69 Boss 302 outside, but the interior was completely redone with all new dash, seats, steering wheel, stereo etc. like a 2015. I could not find it on the docket for this year, but it looked like it was being put on the block. :shrug:

Of course Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee were there as well!

I've been every year I've lived in the valley and never seen anywhere that many Mustangs. Did you see the new GT? Ford said it would be there.

I'm going Wednesday night.

Is it weird to kinda want that police interceptor bull bar for my white S550?

Not to look like a cop, just to make the car look even meaner?

The Ford part of the test track was not up and running yet, but they had a Viper, Corvette and Challenger Hellcat running around.
The ROUSH booth was also outstanding!
Overall it was a very fun day and I would recommend it. No issues with the free parking and shuttle ride, and my baby was scratch and dent free when we returned!

There was one GT350 at the entrance, (photo in first post), and several on the test track behind the Ford Performance truck. I did not see any others. I spoke with a dude from Shelby that drove the truck down from Vegas. They had several Shelby GT models there, which are different from the GT350.
Take your camera on Wednesday!!

That car was bad~ass!!! It's an EcoBoost modded to the gills. I think it is from the place in Cali where the cops race the kids on the drag strip. It was featured on Top Gear (UK) a few years ago when they were out west with a Viper (Hammond), Lexus LFA (Clarkson)and Astin Martin (May).

And YES! It would look amazing on your car!

Awesome! Thanks, that's it! We spent quite a few minutes drooling over this one! It just blew me away when I looked in the window and saw the interior.
