I wanted to make a post to get a few opinions on the issues in having with my MT-82. Mine has been problematic since I picked the car up. I have read up a ton on how these are noisy gearboxes and such and noisy I'm fine with....but mine seems to have 12 gears lol. Sometimes the car drives absolutely fine..other times its like its on its last leg. Since new I have had a clutch burning smell and brief grind on cold starts in the morning. Also I've had a low pitched bearing howl that has grown to intermittently screams like metal on metal pull me over I'm going to break scream. I've had the car to the dealer three times with no results...i keep telling them they need to drive the car for a while to notice the symptoms but they don't seem to be taking me seriously. I myself am a service manager for a car dealership and am not over exaggerating my issues but they seem to think I'm some crazy customer with no issue. What will it take to get them to seriously look into this. If I wasn't in a hurry to tune the car I would just wait for if to break and let the warranty cover it. It sucks not to be able to move forward with my mods knowing once I tune if I'm stuck with the bill and with my luck it will break the day after. My theory is all this is related to a bad throw out bearing and that the clutch isn't fully disengaging which is why I always smell clutch even when lightly cruising

also forget to mention that once the car is warmed up there is a steady and continuous chirping noise coming from the bell housing area..sounds just like a bad tensioner pulley...

Send a PM to FordService so you can get some escalation help with your issue. A lot of folks have been able to get additional attention when Deysha or one of the other staff members who monitor that userid get involved.

There is at least 1 question in my mind before I give any opinions. When it starts to smell of burned clutch is your foot on the clutch pedal at all? Or is it down in the footwell? If it is resting on the clutch it is possible to partially have it engauged. If it is resting in the footwell it may need adjustment for a full release. Of course with clutch hydraulic slave cylinders it also could be a slave cylinder not travelling the full distance for clutch release.

sometimes I smell it while driving. I have a very short commute to work. As soon as I park the car and get it is noticeable. The car has the normal mt nibbles and notches while shifting but often times it gets really bad like the clutch isn't fully engaging. I did the bleed procedure already as well to no avail. With the car in neutral there is also a noticeable clank when you apply and release it...
