Back up camera sensor

Hello,

I am hunting down an issue with my back up camera and I want to verify if the sensor that tells the camera the transmission is in reverse is still good.

Can anyone tell me where this sensor is located?

I have already tested the camera, and verified all the wires were still good with no cuts or pinches.

2015 - 2017 Mustangs have a recall due to the backup camera being distorted or blank. I had the issue on my previous Mustang where it was distorted. You should check with your dealer to see if your backup camera had the recall work completed and if not take it to have it done.
