Awesome Test Drive

I've gotten to sit in a dozen different 2015's, but have yet to drive one in the GT/PP package I have my mind set on. Tore my ACL and MCL recently, and awaiting surgery in a few weeks. Can't push a clutch pedal down to save my life right now, but...

My local salesman called today and offered to take me for a spin in a just arrived triple yellow GT/PP. It was so new they hadn't yet peeled the plastic off it.

I told him I'd be happy with a trip around the block. Instead he took me on a solid 20 minute cruise, and wrapped it up with a WOT blast on a highway entry ramp. Snapped my head against the back of the seat...hit 100 mph before I knew it. Yeah buddy!

Damn. That was fun!

I'll be visiting him again when I heal up and have my ducks in a row so that I can place my order.

Sounds like fun! Best of luck with your recovery. I'm dealing with a lingering Achilles injury and surgery, and it's one of the reasons I ultimately chose an automatic.

I test drove a GT PP today as well. I too have some lingering effects from a motorcycle hating deer a few years back. I'm probably going with the auto as well. That clutch engagement definitely needs the spring taken off.

Otherwise I was very impressed with the car. I keep reading "refined" and I think that hits the nail on the head.

Now to sell my MX5 and order the Mustang.

i just test drove a GT/PP today under great duress (sales manager's lease because they sold out of every mustang they took delivery of on the lot):

me: "i'm just here to look"

salesperson: "let me get the keys. you know, just in case"

i am ruined for life now. but i am going to be strong and not go into debt again! still, i had to go give my 2011 a hug because i was afraid she was going to hate me for my 30 minutes of indiscretion...

I know those "on the verge of purchasing" feels.

Already got z plan pin from grandpa.

I already sold all of the parts/hardtop from my s2000 and also locked down a buyer for the car today.

Vacation check coming Monday.

Hoping to go pick up a black base pp if it's still there in a week or so! *fringers crossed*. Already have a restaurant picked out to visit when driving all the way out to my preffered dealer. Already have the first local road trip planned: drive out to Monterey to take the wife to see the Monarchs at pacific grove. After that :flagstaff/Sedona/Grand Canyon road trip and/or la/San Diego. The anticipation is very real and runs deep my friend.
