Autocross gearing

So anyone got a contact at Ford that we can complain to about the lack of gearing options with the Performance Pack? The 3.73 may be good for drag racing and even road racing, but it is not so good for autocross. The standard 3.31 would be much better, and even the optional, but not optional with the performance pack, 3.55 would be better.

I feel like either car would have enough torque to leave it in second or third for the duration of a course.

You want to be able to do almost the entire course in 2nd, that's iffy with the 3.73 final drive, especially on the generally longer/faster Nationals courses.

Top speed in 2nd gear:
Camaro 1LE (which just won the FS Solo Nationals) - 75mph
Mustang GT with performance pack - 62mph

And you need the performance pack to get the stiffer suspension, wider wheels & tires, and torsen diff.
