Hi,
I drive a lot in traffic and I remember reading somewhere that the auto trans has the capability of automatically going into neutral when the car isn't moving. It doesn't feel to me like this happens as I always seem to have creep the moment I let the brake pedal off.
I tend to shift into neutral when waiting at stop lights etc, but this is a little fiddly as the trigger needs pressing to select neutral.
There's probably no need for this, but I tend to think it's marginally better for fuel economy and longevity of the torque converter components.
Anyone else know what the case is here?
