During 3rd and 4th gear WOT pulls (through peak torque and peak power RPMs, without labouring the engine) gives a constant -3 to -4 on the Knock PID.

That would suggest theres room in my tune for some more aggressiveness, non?

Nope that is good and is where they aim to be, you ideally always want to be at some negative knock as they need to leave some room for different ambient temperatures.

For instance in Summer the car will probably be around -1 to 0 or maybe even +1.

If you do your test on an even colder day, you should see it adding even more as the lower the IAT the more timing the car adds, it is something like every 6c lower on IAT is an additional degree of timing. So on a cooler day you car can easily make an additional 10-20HP based on lower IAT.

This is why it is important to keep IAT as low as you can, CAI's which heatsoak rob you power big time especially if they do not cool down so quick once moving.

Cool good to know.

Im having a Velossa Big Mouth fitted at the end of Feb, and will then attack heat-proofing before the summer.

As an aside Gibbo205 did you receive my PM re: wheels?

Care to pour over the contents of one of my datalogs that I'm about to send to Lund? :D

I did one following your instructions and this is the one that Lund asked for (I'm sending both).

How about that for driving god? Got told to do a WOT run from 2500 to 7200RPM and look what I hit, 7288rpm! :headbang:

Can't see your spark at WOT but the tune is safe. :)

Crazy how someone can look at that and it makes sense to them, looks like my heart rate after running up the stairs!
Its all quite easy when you know the basics and select the right items to monitor to check.

Spark maxes around 55 degrees under partial throttle, hence the high of 51, but at wide open throttle spark should not be exceeding 30 degrees timing on pump gas unless your IAT's are around 0c and the fuel your running is around RON 99/100.

To check you monitor gas pedal input, rpm, spark, lambda, speed, knock sensor and then you look in the log for where you went 100% throttle ideally from a 2500-7000rpm range and then just see what your spark was which should be around 25-27 degrees on a good base tune, make sure the knock sensor is at 0 or a minus value and check the fuelling.

Maf flow rate per/lb is a good measurement to watch to see if your CAI is helping flow more, a typical stock setup flows around 42lb and you can see Centurion is hitting nearly 45lb so the PMAS is flowing more. My GT 350 setup flows 49lb and in short the bigger that number, along with timing and correct fuelling the more power you make. As long as knock is 0 or minimal and fuelling is correct your all good.

Lots of guides out there, its quite ease. :)

Harder part is the actual tuning, my BMW for instant is not so hard, even done some of the throttle mapping myself on it. But on the Mustang the tuning is way more in depth, bit of a minefield if you do it properly due to driver demand tables etc. etc.
