Hello all,

I was just wondering if all X pipes are the same. By this I mean do they all sound the same and have the same build quality? I see them go for 80-300 online. What's the difference between these X pipes? I want to make my car louder but I don't want to ruin it. Thank you

And not only material differences, but now there are many different kinds of designs. Corsa makes a double X-pipe, and Borla a combination of straight pipes and an X-pipe. I guess the next step is a combination of H and X pipes, which the Borla almost is; it just needs an 'H' tube over the straight pipes.

No. Some are cheap, aluminized steel, and others are stainless. And among the stainless some are 409 and some are 304 (better). Some have a proper merge, others have very little, which affects how clean the tone is.

Look for one that is 304SS and has a full crossover.
Yup this. Build material and quality makes a big difference.

Aluminized steel won't last and is prone to rust. And 304 ss is more durable than 409 ss etc.
