I don't know if my post was nuked, or if I never actually posted ...

Anyway, I was commenting on how unbelievably amazing the wrap is, I mean, it's like glossy paint.
Thanks! One reason why i love gloss vinyl. Doesn't scream "vinyl wrap" like the matte or satin finishes. However it is more orange peel-y up close and gets pretty terrible swirl marks over time

It's functional. That's what is important. Not the form. For a track/HPDE car, it looks great though. This wing has been used on many other cars. It's also nice to have a true bolt on product that doesn't require fabrication. How thick are the reinforcement plates and what are they made out of? My main concerns are flex of the trunk at speed and of course the possibility of a mount failure. Of course, this isn't APR's first rodeo so I'm sure they've done their homework. I still have a different car that I use as a track only car, but I plan on using the mustang on occasion, which I'll most likely buy another trunk to mount the wing for when I do hit the track in it. Bolt the splitter and trunk on for the weekend. Drive. Take it back off and continue to blend in with everyone else on the street. :D

I'll measure them for ya when I get home, currently out of town. I want to say they are at least 1/4 - 1/2 thick just from me jogging through my memory. I know they really wanted to do them because the original design didn't utilize the plates, and the test car ended up with a few dents on the trunk from excessive downforce. They want some feedback after my track event next weekend before it gets "officially" released. APR is a great company that really puts a lot of research and testing before anything is officially available. This will be the 3rd test car for them after AFE's and Hillbank's car. I can say just from taking a few turns aggressively on the way home from their shop, the car already feels like it squats so much better on the corners. Cant wait to take it up to speed!

*edit* From looking at your avatar, i'm guessing you have an FD as your track car =] Its always been a dream of mine to own a clean one

Thanks man. I was just curious. Like we both said, APR knows what it takes to make a quality product that works. I sold my E92 M3 a few months ago and just picked up the mustang to replace it. Big difference in my car at COTA and a friend's car that had the APR wing and splitter.

Yep, the track car is an FD. I've owned FDs since 2000ish. I'll always have at least one in the garage. I've built this one in 2008 as a NASA TT/ST2 car. Not a lot of cars out there that are this fun on track IMO.

Aaaannnyways, I've clogged up your thread enough. Look forward to hearing your feedback.
