I am looking for a wheel cleaner from Autozone, Pep Boys, etc. that can clean light to moderate break dust with minimal to no agitation necessary.

My PP wheels are cleaned regularly (once a week) so there is no time for the brake dust to become caked on.

Cleaning these wheels with brushes is getting old...

If they don't sell Sonax Full Effect then I recommend ordering that. No reason to purchase inferior products just because they are stocked.

I've heard that Sonax is pretty much the best one out there! I was just looking for store bought products since they're easier to obtain, instead of having to order and wait.

Actually I need to run by AZ here in a few, I can see if they stock it while I'm there.

If you go OTC route... DO NOT get anything that says acid anywhere on the bottle. Meguiars Hot Rims ruined my caliper paint job. Make no mistake, the stuff cleaned very, very well, but my calipers are now permanently rusty until I find time to paint them.

Nowadays I'm using Mother's- but only after getting the rims wet. Mixing in with standing water dilutes it enough to make me have no worries... even though its not acid based. I also no longer spray anywhere near the caliper.
