Have any uk members had the ford performance supercharger fitted?
https://www.ford-accessories.co.uk/...ercharger-kit/2216665?model=mustang&year=2015

Am I right I’m saying it’s a roush kit?
I know it can be had cheaper than ford sell it at.

Was it worth the cost?

What other upgrades were done to make the car usable, drive shafts, brakes, suspension etc or is it ok just on a standard car?

Any issues with ford warranty?

Yes - it's exactly the same kit. Dual branded Roush and Ford Performance. We've fitted them - it doesn't have to be a Ford Dealer that fits it to retain the warranty according to conversations I've had. You are however paying a big premium to buy it through Ford rather than Roush dealer (like us). I haven't heard of any warranty issues on Roush equipped cars either yet.

You don't have to do anything else to the car - it's designed as a bolt on kit. Having said that I'd suggest at least ditching the Pirellis and looking at better suspension.

That’s pretty much what I wanted to hear as I have seen it much cheaper from other suppliers.

The Pirelli’s were ditched in the first few weeks of buying the car lol.

How does the 2019 S5500 drive once its had a blower fitted? I just bought mine and the plan was to have this done more or less straight away however all the engine issues and the concerns on warrantee are causing me to hesitate a bit, didn't I read somewhere on here you just did an install on a 2019 model, how did it drive ?

Just out of interest what’s a non Ford dealer supercharger install costing? Looking st the Ford Performance website it says £8k-ish, but the suggestion in this thread is that this is a few thousand too much?

that ford performance price is just the equipment i think fitting is another few grand ontop of that.

while its not essential i'd definitely consider doing the OPG if you're adding any kind of boost, they're only plastic and the increased load from boost and typically raised rev limiter can lead to them failing. having said that a lot of people have charged without making the change just depends how much faith you have in your ability to stay out of the rev limiter when being giddy

I've just sent a reply to your email - in summary the 2018+ kit actually drives better (in my opinion) than the 2017 kit despite having less power due to the GPF - cold drivability is particularly improved. The kit integrates really well with the 10sp auto. So far we've only built two 2018 cars - both 10sp auto. The 2017 kit has a more savage shove at lower revs but the 2018 torque peaks later and therefore feels a bit more long legged.

We charge £1000 for fitting a supercharger kit (Whipple or Roush).
