Hello fellow Pony owners,
I recently purchased a 2017 GT back in July.
I was driving home the other night and my advancetrac light came on,
followed by the ABS light, followed by the power steering light.
My drive modes and steering modes cannot be accessed.
It stayed on my whole drive home but, the next day it went off and then came back on after i went inside the store and came back out.
It has been going on and off ever since but, i haven't drove it much at all since the lights came on.
Current plan is to disconnect the battery for a few mins to reset and see if it comes back on.
If it does, I plan to take it to AutoZone or O'Reilly's to get the codes.
Anything specific i should be looking for? Is this going to cost me a bunch of money?
(attached is the 1st pic of her just because)
Any info is appreciated!

I am not very mechanically inclined so i took it to O'Riley's, their scanner said it was the speed sensor on the rear wheel, right side. Bought the part, took it to a shop, they changed it, cleared the codes, all the lights came back on soon as i pulled out of the parking lot. here we go..
The ABS sensor rings are likely gunked up. Can you put the car on jack stands, put the car in neutral, release the parking brake and clean them with a rag and brake and parts cleaner? If you go back and look at the link I sent previously, you’ll see the difference between mine when they were greasy and grimy and then clean after I sprayed them with brake and parts cleaner and wiped them down. You can spin the rear wheels while you spray and wipe them down. Super easy to do and not worth paying a shop to do it.

Interesting! i will definitely try to check those, problem is i only have one jack stand and i live in an apartment, nowhere to really work on my car here and honestly, this is the nicest car I've ever had, i don't want to damage it further by tinkering with things myself, i have a bad habit of not being able to put things back together after i take them apart....

But, while you're letting me pick your brain; i noticed today while i was on the freeway, my battery voltage was at 12.8, is this normal? i know that a low or dying battery can cause these issues as well. When i googled it, i said the battery should be at 13-14 volts while driving, but i am not sure how true this is. what do you think about that?

Thanks for all your help! i really appreciate the suggestions and will absolutely get all of my ABS sensors checked and cleaned out.

That is correct that normal battery voltage shown on the dash is usually between 13-14V. You can take the car to AutoZone and have them pull the battery and test it. I replaced my battery at 3 years old, so if yours is at least that old or older, it’s probably time to install a new one.

I recommend doing the sensors anyways. When I cleaned mine, I don’t believe the car had more than 6K miles on it. You have to figure, road grime and dirt (especially after rain) will find its way onto the sensor rings.

Now that I have encountered the issue with mine, I will make it a regular maintenance routine to keep them clean.
