Have any of you installed the cervini hood struts? if you have can you take me a close up picture of hose the top bracket (the big one) fits between the hood hinge and its nut.
To me it looks like it fits in a little gap in the hood hinge to get it flush but the brackets are too big to fit without me taking out both hood bolts and sliding it in and then refitting the hood totally which seems massively too complicated.

Also cervini instructions aren't worth the paper they're printed on :(

If you’re looking at this as a permanent modification then I’d be tempted to use some high strength glue / bonding agent as well as using the bolt. I’d also leave it to cure fully before attaching the damper too

I’m sure that would do the trick of securing the lower mounting point.

the bottom one isn't the issue i've got that solid and can weld it if needs be its the top L shaped bracket i can't get to fit as the hinge is kinda split in 2 parts and the gap between the 2 parts is smaller than the thickness of the hinge and the overall width of the hinge won't even allow it to pass over the top layer so it won't fit flush, i've ordered some new cutting disks for the grinder that should be arriving today or tomorrow I hope so i'll fix it then :)

the bottom thing if its shit is easily fixed i'll just weld it on thats not really an option on the top one :(

yeah it won't do that on mine overall thickness is too great and the bracket is too wide :(
That's a strange one then? Are you able to post up some pictures?
